AVANGRID and NYSEG Employees Volunteer to Help Make a Global Impact

Volunteer Day and Other Activities Offer an Opportunity
To Make a Difference and Improve Our Communities

BINGHAMTON, NY — October 1, 2018 — Employees of NYSEG, a subsidiary of AVANGRID, Inc. (NYSE: AGR), took part in volunteer efforts this past weekend throughout New York to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.

NYSEG volunteers turned out to the Tuscarora Boy Scout Reservation to help with repair and general upkeep of the facility. In Binghamton, volunteers assisted with CHOW Food Bank efforts to organize food pantry donations. These efforts were organized by NYSEG in partnership with its parent company, AVANGRID and its majority shareowner, the Iberdrola Group.

In the United States, approximately 350 employees of AVANGRID and its companies participated in more than 20 volunteer activities. The employees picked up trash in parks, stocked food bank shelves, worked on farms, landscaped, painted, cleaned and more in locations from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine. AVANGRID is a diversified U.S. energy and utility company based in Orange, Connecticut.

Iberdrola oversaw similar Volunteer Day efforts globally, with hundreds of employees expected to participate in countries where the corporation and its affiliates have operations, including Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil. The goal of the annual event, now in its 12th year, is to harness employees’ community spirit in support of projects that align with the corporation’s values.
