NYSEG COMPLETING POWER RESTORATION EFFORT

Plattsburgh, NY, June 12, 2008 (4 p.m.) – NYSEG is completing repairs to its electricity delivery system that was damaged during the storms Tuesday afternoon, resulting in more than 9,000 NYSEG customers in the area losing power. Fewer than 100 customers remain without power. Restoration efforts are continuing, and all customers are expected to have power restored by noon tomorrow.
Customers without power should contact NYSEG at 1.800.572.1131 or click here to report an outage online. Also, NYSEG reminds people to stay far away from any downed power lines and to report them to NYSEG and 911.
